Mark A. Nitikman has broad and substantial experience in all aspects of real estate, land use and finance transactional and litigation practice. In land use matters, he represents developers with respect to federal, state and local laws and regulations regarding obtaining entitlements, including planning, zoning, subdivisions, redevelopment and CEQA, from the beginning to the completion of development projects (including litigation, where necessary). In finance matters, Mr. Nitikman represents lenders and borrowers in negotiating and documenting finance transactions, including new loans, loan restructures and deeds in lieu of foreclosure, and when litigation is necessary, he represents lenders and borrowers in connection with foreclosure, breach of guaranty, bankruptcy and other issues. With respect to general real estate matters, he represents clients in a wide variety of real estate transactions and in resolving disputes when they arise (through litigation if necessary), including purchase and sale agreements, covenants, conditions and restrictions, easement agreements, leases, and general real estate advice and representation. Mr. NitikmanÕs breadth and depth of experience gives him a unique perspective in creating optimal solutions for his clients.

Mr. Nitikman's representation has included clients such as Watson Land Company, MMA Realty Capital, Inc. (formerly MONY Life Insurance Company), PNS Stores, Inc., In-N-Out Burgers, Inc., John Laing Homes Urban, Arnel Management Company and numerous individual landowners, developers, borrowers and lenders.

Mr. Nitikman graduated with highest honors from the University of Southern California Law School in 1988, where he served on the law review. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles with an A.B. degree in 1978, and received his Masters in Public Administration from the University of Southern California in 1981. Before entering law school, Mr. Nitikman served four years with the State of California Legislative Analyst's Office in Sacramento.
